These works are spontaneous, often bold, with strong gestural qualities and various forms of mark making using squeegees, palette knives, spray paint, etc. They activate spaces.
It's the pure joy of discovery of what happens in the moment with the challenge of creating a balanced cohesive piece in the end that engages me as a painter when I make this kind of work.
